What is Metocin?

Metocin was first synthesized by Alexander “Sasha” Shulgin in the 1970s. It’s 4-HO-MET. It is a tryptamine producing psychedelic effects

What does it do?

It is said to produce effects very similar to those of psilocin. Psilocin is best known as the active tryptamine that psilocybin metabolizes into when you consume “magic mushrooms”.

What’s the dosage?

The effects of Metocin can be felt at 1-2mg. 2mg of Metocin should have the same approximate experience as half a gram of magic mushrooms. Our Xüm tablets are 2mg each.

The experience will begin within about 15 minutes. The peak of the experience will generally be 1.5-2 hours in, and should be pretty much over in 4 hours.

Taken at 2-4mg (1-2 tablets), a consumer will generally have a light, social and playful experience.

Taken at 8mg (4 tablets), a consumer should begin to feel “trippy”. 

Taken at 12mg+ (6+ tablets), a consumer will generally get to a transcendental experience.

What does it feel like?

Effects can include euphoria, tingling sensations, perceptual changes, open-and-closed eye visuals, synesthesia, time dilation, intensified perceptions, thoughts & feelings, and a general change in thought processes. 

What’s the shelf life if I buy a jar?

Approximately 2 years!

You were a mushroom grow bag company, why produce a synthesized compound?

Before we even started our company, we have been long-time psychedelic enthusiasts. Improving access to the benefits of psychedelics has been one of our major goals, and along with our affection for mycology we were happy to bring the magic of mushrooms to people through our grow bags & mushroom genetics. We will continue to do so, for those that desire them. We know, however, that mushrooms take time to grow, and metocin is an accessible compound that produces effects we are similarly fond of. 

Our company focus has been radical simplicity, and our passion is the magic of psychedelics. What could be simpler?

But what about plant medicine?

Compounds can be synthesized in nature, or in a laboratory. Many compounds found in nature are also produced synthetically. We’re non-judgmental about the source of compounds, except to ensure that they are clean, safe, and produce the desired effects.

Is this legal?

Metocin is not federally scheduled, nor banned.

Is this one of those “premium mushroom blend/proprietary mushroom blend” products?

We are allergic to this non-sense of "Proprietary Mushroom Blends" and "Non-Detect COAs"

Clarity is core to our identity as it is core to the only safe responsible way to consume these compounds.
